135 Factors predicting the itch-specific quality of life among patients suffering from itch

[We Investigated] the sociodemographic & itch specific factors predicting itch-specific quality of life (QoL) in a cohort patients with itch. At Miami Itch Center Miami, FL, USA, male female > = 18 years for 6 weeks from 2014 to 2022 were analyzed. The following predictors: age, sex, ethnicity (Hispanic, non Hispanic white, black, Asian, multiracial), location (head neck, upper limb, lower groin buttocks, trunk), frequency (>=10/day, 5-10/day, 2-4/day, and <=1/day), having all day, worsening (stress, sweat, dry skin, contact irritants, allergens, hot-water, salt-water, acid-drinks), associated symptoms (rash, pain, sweating, hot cold sensation), intensity (1-10). Itch-specific QoL was assessed using 21 item questionnaire, total score (0-105) outcome. Higher values representative poor QoL. predictors explored multivariable linear regression model by including stepwise. We included 534 patients. mean age 58 years, 59% females, majority non-Hispanic whites (61.9%). 71.65±19.19. limb (79.6%) most frequent location, followed trunk (73.0%) (68.2%). Female sex (beta=6.24; 95% CI 3.71,8.76), (beta=2.52; 1.91,3.13), (beta=1.69; 0.51,2.87), itching day (beta=5.64; 2.89,8.39), (beta=4.80; 1.59, 8.01), buttocks (beta=4.40; 1.78,7.03), pain area (beta=5.49; 2.95,8.02), heat sensation (beta=2.72; 0.16, 5.28), stress (beta=6.79; 4.26, 9.32) predicted while being white (beta=-2.60; -5.19,-0.02) good Sociodemographics, intensity, frequency, symptoms, affect itching.
